Driving tips for your Naples rental car
Naples was built in the Middles Ages, long before cars ruled the road. Expect narrow alleyways and mopeds to be zipping around you. Also Neapolitans are known for driving through red lights.
Pro-tip: Hire a GPS system with your rental car to avoid confusing intercity one-ways.
• Drive on the right side of the road, overtake on the left side.
• Italians are aggressive drivers. Follow national road rules and allow them to pass.
Parking at Naples International Airport and in Naples
Choose from nine different parking areas at Naples International Airport. Short-term lots are near the main entrance road with four lot options, charging around €3.5 per hour and around €30 for the day. Long-term parking is cheapest at €2.5 per hour and €12 per day. Valet parking is available for quicker access to the terminal or pre-booking your space online to save time and stress.
Naples offers street parking great for compact cars and a few public parking lots.
