An initial, non-refundable deposit will be secured at the time of booking confirmation. Accepted credit cards are Visa and MasterCard.
The balance, along with any applicable vehicle security bond, will be secured directly by the supplier on arrival.
General Rental Conditions
Identification required / Driving licence
A driving licence valid in the country where the rental takes place. The driving licence must have been issued by authorised authorities at least 12 months before the date of the commencement of the rental. In addition to the normal driving licence, an international driving licence is also mandatory if the driving licence is written in a language different to the one of the renting country and/or in characters that can not be read in the renting country. Please note that the international driving licence is valid only if accompanied by the normal driving licence.
You must produce a valid corporate or personal credit card with an expiry date after the due check-in date or a valid Enterprise Rent-A-Car charge card at pick up time.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car accepts major credit cards such as American Express, Mastercard, and Visa. Credit cards are accepted to the limits authorised by the credit card company. For luxury and special models two credit cards (including at least one major credit card: Visa, MasterCard, American Express) are required and an authorisation will be requested on each.
The minimum amount of the authorisation will be determined by multiplying the rate by the rental period reserved by you and other relevant charges. This amount is not debited. When the Vehicle is returned, the invoiced amount will be charged to the credit card provided.
It is also possible to rent a car by means of payment against a valid major debit card. More details are available at the Enterprise Rent-A-Car location.
An international valid credit card is always required for the deposit (determined by multiplying the rate by the rental period reserved and other relevant charges plus the applicable excess amount. In addition, for car category FDAR an extra deposit applies of Euro 2000 and for car category PDAR an extra deposit of Euro 3000 ) which will be held on the credit card until the vehicle is returned and the final rental charge is debited. Any charges for damages, fines, taxes, penalties and the related administration fees belonging to the rental period can also be debited from the credit card after the return of the vehicle.
The vehicle will be provided to you with a full fuel tank. You must only refuel the vehicle with the correct type of fuel. Costs of fuel and for the refuelling service will be at your expense if the vehicle is not returned with a full tank. Enterprise Rent-A-Car is not responsible for reimbursing fuel purchased for the rental car.

Condition of vehicle
A description of the condition of the vehicle will be given to you at the same time as the rental agreement.
Before leaving the rental location, you are required to check the condition of the vehicle. Where an apparent defect is found which is not already listed in the document, you must immediately inform the Enterprise Rent-A-Car employee at the counter in order to proceed with a joint-examination of the vehicle. In such a case, amendments must be made to the document and duly countersigned by both parties. If the amended document is not countersigned by both parties, the condition of the vehicle will be as set out in the document given to you with the rental agreement and it will be considered that you received the vehicle in proper working condition.
You will return the vehicle in the same condition as it was provided at the start of the rental. You are responsible for any repair or refurbishment costs and these will be added to the cost of the rental.
You must be aged 18 years or over to rent a car and have held a driving license for at least one year. For Full Size and Premium Car Categories the minimum rental age Is 25 years.
Additional Driver surcharge 4/Day
The age requirements are also applicable to all additional drivers if any.
General Insurance Conditions
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
If chosen and indicated in the rental agreement or if included in the rate, this facility will limit your liability for any damage to the Vehicle which is not otherwise recovered from a third party, subject to the Non-Waivable Charge.
Theft Protection (TP)
If chosen and indicated in the rental agreement or if included in the rate, this relieves you of your financial liability in the event of the Vehicle being stolen, except where incurred through negligence and/or breach of contract.
Third Party Insurance (TI)
All the vehicles in the Enterprise Rent-A-Car fleet are insured against Bodily Injury and/or Property Damage that you might inflict on a third party as a result of an accident involving the Vehicle.
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
If chosen and indicated in the rental agreement or if included in the rate, this option provides a financial indemnity for you and passengers (subject to permitted number of occupants in the vehicle) in the event of death or permanent disability. The amounts may vary depending on whether an adult or a child is involved. Similarly, Partial Disability may lead to lower payment or to no payment at all if disability percentage is below a certain threshold.

Cross Border Rentals are allowed to the following countries but not with Audi, BMW, Mercedes Benz, VW and all Jeeps/Offroaders: Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.

On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or a vehicle supplier's error. In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.
To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website.
When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier's rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.
While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.
Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice.
If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.
Vehicle capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
In the event of cancellation, any deposit amounts paid at the time of booking are non-refundable.
If you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
